I luckily was given the opportunity to attend as a stall holder at The Clifton Hill House: Costume & Textiles Event. Here i showcased my 1940's knitwear collection as it fitted in with the theme of the night. I was front seat to live music from the marionettes and a catwalk showing beautiful pieces that are on sale in Clifton Hill: Period costume and textiles shop. Timeless pieces worn by models with hair and make up done by professionals to suit the era of clothing. |

A New and fun way of creating over the top and sized creations, being rugs to furniture!
I find this so intriguing and in the near future will in fact have a house full of extreme knitting pieces! The poor Boyfriend... Crochet. A past- time shared by many, once thought of as a key fashion accessory. Used when revamping and recycling was a necessity. Over the past year or so since learning to crochet myself, i have come to notice the increase of use of this skill within the fashion industry, been traditional skill brought back from the depths to become a hit once again future catwalks. As a knitter my self to became to see this beautiful art plastered all over the fashion world again would be joy to my heart and im sure many others. It doesn't mean cutting up a few crochet granny blankets and sewing them up no! im thinking this.. Even though this is very sweet. Maybe there is room for both?
